Acclaimed overtone singer Anna-Maria Hefele joins London A Cappella Festival co-hosts The Swingles and World Beatbox Champions The Beatbox Collective to present a truly unique concert, which fuses three contrasting vocal styles: overtone (or ‘throat’) singing, beatboxing, and classical/jazz singing.
Anna-Maria Helefe shot to fame in 2014 when her ‘Polyphonic Overtone Singing’ video went viral on YouTube, and since then it has had over eleven million views. She is renowned for her flawless overtone technique, eerie harmonics and impeccable musicianship.
Vocal supergroup The Swingles have pushed the boundaries of vocal music for more than half a century, winning five Grammy® awards and making more than fifty recordings.
The Beatbox Collective is a group of the best beatboxers in the UK, joining to perform awe-inspiring shows that display the human voice in all its glory. Individually they have won almost every beatbox competition in the world, and they are the 2015 World Beatbox Champions.
These masters of their craft collaborate for a truly unique concert, showcasing the best vocal talent from across Europe.
