OxBox is UK Looping Beatbox Champion (2015), acclaimed vocalist and human beatbox. He’s been sharing his sound all across the UK performing alongside such acts as Mark Ronson, Foreign Beggars, The Swingles and world champion beatboxers The Beatbox Collective, and showing the world the incredible variety of sounds that can be made by just one man and his voice. Join OXBOX for a fun family-friendly session next to the main café, as he opens the day for LACF Kids!

Apollo5 Workshop

Come and learn to perform jazz with Apollo5! Apollo5 is passionate about encouraging young people to sing and delivers a wide-reaching education programme with VOCES8, as part of the VCM Foundation. This is the perfect introduction to jazz for young singers. You will hear Apollo5 perform, work with the singers learning some fun jazz arrangements and then perform these yourself at the end of the workshop. It’s a great opportunity for all the family to get involved!

The Bristol Suspensions in concert

The Bristol Suspensions are one of the country’s elite university a cappella groups. Based at the University of Bristol, they were Voice Festival 2016 Champions, and also featured on this summer’s BBC’s primetime show ‘Pitch Battle’. We’re thrilled Bristol Suspensions will be giving a very special family matinee performance for LACF Kids – come and see these big kids singing at the top of their game!

NYCGB Workshop
2.45pm - 3.45pm, St Pancras Room, Kings Place
 

The National Youth Choir of Great Britain’s ‘Ready Steady Sing!’ workshops get young singers of all abilities using their voices, and their bodies! Led by NYCGB Deputy Music Director Esther Jones, this special LACF Kids session is for ages 8-11 and will also include tips and techniques for improving your musicianship skills and vocal production.  

NYCGB is our 2018 Festival Partner – don't miss the chance to see them perform as the opening act for The Tallis Scholars on Thursday 25 January (for more information click here).
