Come and learn to perform jazz with Apollo5! Apollo5 is passionate about encouraging young people to sing and delivers a wide-reaching education programme with VOCES8, as part of the VCM Foundation. This is the perfect introduction to jazz for young singers. You will hear Apollo5 perform, work with the singers learning some fun jazz arrangements and then perform these yourself at the end of the workshop. It’s a great opportunity for all the family to get involved!
The Bristol Suspensions in concert
1.30pm - 2.30pm, Hall 2, Kings Place
The Bristol Suspensions are one of the country’s elite university a cappella groups. Based at the University of Bristol, they were Voice Festival 2016 Champions, and also featured on this summer’s BBC’s primetime show ‘Pitch Battle’. We’re thrilled Bristol Suspensions will be giving a very special family matinee performance for LACF Kids – come and see these big kids singing at the top of their game!
2.45pm - 3.45pm, St Pancras Room, Kings Place
The National Youth Choir of Great Britain’s ‘Ready Steady Sing!’ workshops get young singers of all abilities using their voices, and their bodies! Led by NYCGB Deputy Music Director Esther Jones, this special LACF Kids session is for ages 8-11 and will also include tips and techniques for improving your musicianship skills and vocal production.
